Christina Bretschneider, born in Northern Germany, studied Creative Art
at the Art Academies in Duesseldorf und Osnabrueck and earned a Bachelor’s degree
in Illustration Art from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
Since 1998, she has been working as a freelance illustrator. Her illustrations regularly
appear in daily newspapers and magazines. Many of her children’s books have been
published in English. In her free time, she teaches Drawing to school children.
Christina lives in Potsdam with her husband Hendrik, their son Anton and their two cats,
Mimi and Biene.
